I’ve just got to share this amazing news with you all.If you’re a regular follower of mine then you’ll know that I applied to work at a summer camp over in America for this summer, and you probably know that I hadn’t heard anything.

Well I’m here to inform you that I’M GOING TO AMERICA! I am SOOOO excited.

After spending the past couple of months absolutely sure that I wasn’t going to be living my summer American dream and preparing myself to have to get a refund and find other things to do in the summer – which I actually came to terms with and started to get into it, planning holidays (a family and a friends), going to festivals, working – I received an email at the end of last week from a camp called Camp Ozark in Arkansas state (yes, I am pronouncing it right! Are you?) requesting an interview to become a gymnastics specialist.

We finally found a mutual time to interview (obviously having to take into consideration the time difference) and we spoke on Tuesday. Half an hour after my interview I was receiving an offer to work there! I was absolutely thrilled and literally jumping around my house all excited.

I leave on 18th May, work at camp until the end of my contract (12th August) and then have 30 days optional travel time before returning home, which of course I am accepting! I’d be crazy not to! I’m still yet to confirm my travel plans but I think I’ve got an idea of what I’m going to do and where I’m going to go. However, I do only have 3 weeks left before I leave and that’s actually the part I’m finding the scariest! I mean, COME ON! 3 weeks to shop AND pack for 4 months worth of clothes, toiletries etc, complete my uni assignments and exams, see family and friends that I need to see before I go, oh and not forgetting the fact my birthday is 6 days before I leave! Wow, if I have time to stop and think in these next 3 weeks I’ll be lucky! I best start creating my lists now… I can’t even go on a two week holiday without a list at hand, so imagine how I’m going to be now!

Although, however stressed I get within the next 3 weeks… It will not overtake the excitement I feel of finally be going to America! And it’s definitely something to get me through my exams… everyone needs something to keep them going through exams!

Just to add to my already exciting news, I also plan to create a blog on my experiences at  camp and my travels afterwards. Whether I create a new blog, or whether I continue on this blog I’ll be sure to let you know so you can follow along! I can’t guarantee being able to keep updated as I go along, but everything will be noted in my notebook ready to  type up at the end if I can’t do it as I go!

Anyway, that’s enough from me for now. It definitely ended up being a longer post than I planned but I just had to share my exciting news with you all and it all just flowed out as I was going along! I just hope my condition doesn’t get in the way of the next 4 months. Something else to document along the way. Watch this space! Ciao.
